Pam (age 70) and George (age 61) are existing clients of FFA.

Pam and George married 20 years ago when George first arrived in Australia.  This was Pam’s second marriage after her first husband passed away.

Pam has worked hard all her life raising four kids on her own and wants to enjoy travelling now before she gets too old and especially after the last few years of restrictions with Covid.

She also feels like she should be entitled to some government benefits, but isn’t able to achieve this currently, given their financial position.

George would also like to quit his job and travel, but he isn’t sure they can afford it if he stopped working.

Pam didn’t entirely agree with him and thought there might be another solution.

After reshuffling their superannuation balances, we were able to take advantage of a retirement strategy that utilises their age gap. When we implemented the strategy, we were able to get Pam the full aged pension.

George is also ecstatic, because he has been able to stop working, just as he wanted. He now has more time to spend with Pam and they can plan travel together, which was a key goal they wanted to achieve. They’re off on their first cruise in September of this year.

They were stunned we could achieve this outcome for them.
